Biography
Ratnawati is Research Associate at Center for Southeast Asian Studies (CSEAS), Indonesia. Her academic journey at State Islamic University (UIN) Jakarta and University of Indonesia in International Affairs and Social Development. She did some trainings and joined many forums related to building my leadership and analytical skills in Southeast and East Asia. She has been selected as participants of “ASEAN Youth Leadership Camp” in Universiti Utara Malaysia and participants of “BIMP-EAGA Youth Forum, in Brunei Darussalam in 2016.
Her passion with research and academic discourses especially related to social development and human development topics in Southeast Asia involved her to some activities related to develops eco-environmental approach in the region. She joined CSEAS and support the preparation of presentation on how ASEAN Countries preventing marine debris on ASEAN Conference on Reducing Marine Debris in ASEAN Region Phuket 2017 with more than 200 participants atended from around the world. Further, She was a coordinator and being a facilitator for many forum, training and workshop in collaboration with various international agencies such as Japan Foundation, U.S. Embassy in Jakarta, Germany Embassy in Jakarta for years regarding to develop thinking skills and building knowledge within youth and professional society. in four provinces in Indonesia (DKI Jakarta, West Java, East Java, and Kalimantan). Her latest experienced in community-based development on waste management is by envolving youth and restaurants industry surround Kuta Becah Bali to share their views on plastic packaging and the circular economy and shared the finding at side event of Our Ocean Conference with ESP3 and Danish Embassy in Jakarta entitled “Plastic Waste and the Circular Economy”.
Ratnawati has 7 years experiences worked in projects related to development with multilateral organizations such as ILO, UN WOMEN, EU, GIZ, USAID, ASEAN Foundation, Japan Foundation and NORAD.
