Research Interest

Naovalitha has a particular interest in qualitative research methods that enable her to explore and have a holistic understanding on the foundation of human behaviors at community level. She involved in studies which employed qualitative techniques to collect data for stand-alone research activities or part of big intervention programs.

Biographical Statement

With more than 15 years’ work experience, aside of the skill on qualitative research, Naovalitha has put specific attention on the issue of international labour migration. Realizing the intertwining of aspects in any social phenomenon, Naovalitha has put herself to also work on other issues such as human rights, gender, poverty, and community empowerment.

Naovalitha completed a Master Degree in Social Intervention of Applied Psychology and a Bachelor Degree in Social Anthropology from the University of Indonesia. She had the opportunity to work at diverse entities such as multilateral agencies (World Bank, UN agencies), bilateral development agency, government agency, international NGO and private companies.
