Biography

Jihan Khairun Amala is a Program Manager at the Center for Southeast Asian Studies (CSEAS), Indonesia. Jihan studied at the Islamic State University (UIN) Jakarta. Her passion for research and academic discourses is especially related to Development Economics, Environmental Economics, and Urban Economics. She is one of the Editorial Team of Policy Brief Series CSEAS. She is a Project Coordinator in the National Seminar The Role of Stakeholders in Sustainable Urban Waste Management (CSEAS-APEKSI). She was a Co-Facilitator of the Workshop on the Implementation of Circular Economy in Sustainable Urban Waste. She joined the International Marine Debris Conference, organized by UNEP in Busan, South Korea. She prepared the ASEANO presentation for the ASEAN Working Group on Coastal and Marine  Environment meeting in Cambodia. Jihan has 5 years of experience in various research projects and programs related to international development with multilateral organizations such as TETO, IGES, EU, GIZ, ASEAN Foundation, NORAD, and DANIDA.
