Biography

Jihan Khairun Amala is the Deputy Director at the Center for Southeast Asian Studies (CSEAS), Indonesia. Jihan is Managing Editor of the CSEAS Policy Brief Series and has coordinated and facilitated several national and international events, including the National Seminar on the Role of Stakeholders in Sustainable Urban Waste Management (CSEAS–APEKSI) and the Workshop on the Implementation of Circular Economy in Sustainable Urban Waste Management.

She has also participated in international forums such as the International Marine Debris Conference organized by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) in Busan, South Korea, and contributed to the ASEANO presentation at the ASEAN Working Group on Coastal and Marine Environment (AWGCME) meeting in Cambodia.

With more than six years of experience, she has been involved in international development initiatives in collaboration with organizations including TETO, IGES, the European Union (EU), GIZ, the ASEAN Foundation, NORAD, and DANIDA.
